A .hood name turns a wallet address into something human-readable: alice.hood resolves to Alice's wallet. A .stock name does the same for real assets. AMC.stock resolves directly to the actual $AMC Stock Token contract on Robinhood Chain. Every .stock name is a verifiable, on-chain pointer: look up any .stock name to see exactly which contract it points to, or look up any listed ticker to see whether its name has been claimed. Both lookups use the same source, so the answer is always consistent.
A .stock name only mints if its label matches a ticker Robinhood has actually tokenized. AAPL.stock, TSLA.stock, NVDA.stock, COIN.stock, GME.stock, and AMC.stock are all valid because each maps to a real Robinhood Stock Token. FAKECO.stock gets rejected before registration is even attempted. The collection is grounded in real assets and closed to arbitrary squatting.

Every .stock name is one of a kind, so minting isn't first-come, first-served. Each name is claimed through the Mint Bid, a short, open bidding window that lets the market decide who holds each ticker.
A .stock name doesn't just point to a stock. It lets others build on top of it. AMC.stock is the home for tokens paired with $AMC: every token launched under it trades directly against the real AMC Stock Token on Robinhood Chain. To buy in, a trader goes through AMC first.

A dedicated multisig created specifically for .stock controls ticker eligibility and royalty routing, separate from the .hood team's keys. No single signer has unilateral control.
